Privacy & Data Protection

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Blackbird Corporation handles personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Irish data protection law, the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, where applicable.

Effective: 20 August 2026

01

Who We Are

Blackbird Corporation is an Ireland-based IT and digital growth company. For the personal data described in this policy, Blackbird Corporation is the data controller and decides why and how that data is processed.

For privacy questions or to exercise your data protection rights, email us at hello@blackbirdcorporation.com.

02

Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following information:

  • your name, email address and any phone number you choose to provide;
  • your business or organisation name;
  • the service you are interested in;
  • the information you include in an enquiry, email or other communication;
  • records of our correspondence and our relationship with you; and
  • limited technical and security information generated when you use the website, such as IP address, request time, browser or device information, and server logs.

Please do not send sensitive or special-category personal data through the enquiry form unless it is necessary and we have specifically asked for it.

03

How We Use Personal Data and Our Legal Bases

We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis. We use it to:

  • respond to enquiries, prepare proposals and take steps you request before entering into a contract;
  • provide, administer and support contracted services;
  • manage client and business relationships, keep appropriate records, protect our systems and prevent misuse, based on our legitimate interests in running a secure and effective business;
  • meet tax, accounting, regulatory and other legal obligations; and
  • send marketing communications only where permitted by law. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time.

Providing the required enquiry-form fields is voluntary, but we cannot respond to your request without your name, a valid email address and your message.

04

Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only where necessary to operate our business, provide services, comply with law, establish or defend legal claims, or protect rights and security.

Relevant recipients may include authorised Blackbird personnel, professional advisers, website and cloud-hosting providers, email providers (including Resend for website enquiries), IT and security providers, and public authorities where disclosure is legally required. Providers acting for us are required to process personal data only for authorised purposes and to protect it appropriately.

05

International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside Ireland, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Where data protection law treats this as an international or restricted transfer, we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, and supplementary measures where required. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your personal data.

06

How Long We Keep Personal Data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, delivering services, maintaining appropriate business records, and meeting legal, accounting, tax or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention periods depend on the nature of the relationship and data. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it securely.

07

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Essential technologies may be used where strictly necessary to deliver, secure or maintain the website. These do not require consent where the law permits.

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-255NTLC5PT) to understand website usage, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, and interactions with the website. Google Analytics may set or read analytics cookies and process associated identifiers. We do not load Google Analytics until you select “Accept cookies.”

We also maintain an aggregated first-party visitor count. After consent, the website counts one visit per browser session and stores only the combined total for blackbirdcorporation.com and the time that total was last updated. A session-storage marker prevents repeat counting during the same browser session.

We also use Google Tag Manager container GTM-T7R569GV to manage consented website tags. It is blocked alongside Google Analytics until you accept cookies.

You can decline analytics without affecting essential website functions and can change your choice at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Full cookie names, purposes and durations are listed in our Cookie Policy. Google acts as a service provider for analytics data and may process data internationally subject to the safeguards described above. More information is available in Google's privacy documentation.

08

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, access or destruction. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal data and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • request erasure of personal data;
  • restrict how personal data is processed;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing;
  • receive or transfer certain data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent; and
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.

These rights are not absolute and legal exemptions may apply. We do not use website enquiry data for solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. To make a request, email hello@blackbirdcorporation.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law.

10

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where you believe a breach occurred.

11

External Links and Our Ventures

Our website links to third-party sites and independently operated venture sites. Those sites may have their own privacy notices and processing practices. This policy applies only to personal data controlled by Blackbird Corporation through this corporate website and our direct business relationship with you.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, technology or legal obligations. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by another appropriate method.
